Focused Management Thinking
The training focuses on Direct Attention Thinking Tools (DATT™) for Managers. The majority of mistakes managers make in ordinary thinking (outside technical matters) are mistakes in perception. Our traditional emphasis on logic does little for perception. If the perception is inadequate no amount of excellence in logic will make up for that deficiency.
Perception is a matter of directing attention. If you are not looking in the right direction it does not matter how clever you are, you will not see what you need to see. Managers will be trained to use very simple ‘thinking tools’ (operational concepts) that are very powerful in their effect and can totally change initial judgments and perceptions.
Managers will learn how to assess all angles of the big picture before making a decision, and be a strong and confident decision maker. Managers with DATT™ training outperform others.
Fast, Smart, and Efficient Meetings
Training is given on the Six Thinking Hats® (Parallel Thinking) framework. The Six Hat method is based on a consideration of how the brain chemicals differ when we are being cautious and when we are being positive. This chemical pre-sensitization is a key part of brain function. You cannot sensitize in all directions at once - so there is an absolute need to separate out the modes of thinking.
Experience has shown that Six Hat thinking is much more powerful and constructive than argument or discussion. It is also very much faster. Meeting times are reduced to one quarter or even one tenth.
This framework is now very widely used around the world. It is used by top executives at some of the world's largest corporations (Siemens, Bosch, British Telecom, Prudential, ABB, 3M, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia etc.) and by four year-olds in school (Clayfield College, Brisbane, and the Low's School in Singapore).
Uncomplicating Business Processes
Learn the effective use of Dr Edward de Bono’s Simplicity™ Method, a powerful tool which aims to reduce the unnecessary duplication of efforts to increase ROI by removing age-old roadblocks and barriers which will increase employee and customer satisfaction.
Empower your employees to think up new ways of doing things in a SIMPLER way, leading to faster-to-market innovations and easier process systems.
If your organization is looking for ways to streamline products and processes, thereby becoming more effective, efficient and user-friendly, Simplicity™ will help you accomplish these goals. Simplicity™ teaches people to end habits that are no longer necessary, stop duplication of tasks, and challenge every aspect of business so that they can perform at a higher level in all areas.
Visually Capturing and Organizing Thoughts and Ideas
The training teaches participants the skill of Idea Mapping as developed by Jamie Nast (Idea Mapping: How to Access Your Hidden Brain Power, Learn Faster, Remember More, and Achieve Success in Business). An idea map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. It is used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, and decision making.
Idea mapping has a rich foundation in Mind Mapping®, originated by Tony Buzan in the 1960's. Tony defines it this way:
"A mind map harnesses the full range of cortical skills - word, image, number, logic, rhythm, color and spatial awareness - in a single, uniquely powerful technique. In doing so, it gives you the freedom to roam the infinite expanse of your brain."
Idea mapping is a hybrid tool that combines the positives of the mind-mapping laws with the freedom to break them. The feedback from skeptical, overworked, linearly-trained business professionals has caused the creation of idea maps as the practical, flexible, and more usable version of mind maps. Once the rules and techniques of idea mapping are established and learned, you'll be breaking every one of them to make these maps apply to you in the most effect way possible. You will be the creator of the style and rules that work for you!
Memory Skills and Learning Strategies
For anyone involved in learning to succeed, this training developed by Scott Hagwood (Memory Power: You Can Develop A Great Memory--America's Grand Master Shows You How) show you how the assets of a strong memory will help you fulfill your dreams. This training will help you improve your short-term memory, develop your long-term memory, and enhance ability to learn more efficiently.
Personal Communication
The management of human relationships is crucial to success in all organizations today. Developed by Dr. Fred Leafgren, Identity Mapping™ and the Four Ways System™, reveals different employee styles in communications, tasks, accomplishments, needs and values. Recognizing the vital contributions of differing personality styles and identifying their optimal utilization unleashes the potential of each of the four “ways”.
The introduction of Identity Mapping™ and the Four Ways System™ brings new excitement and energy to any organization. Learning how to appropriately address individuals and effectively respond to others improves relationships and promotes understanding, productivity and success.
