plans with Scott Hagwood (4-time US Memory Champion
and newest Jump Start Associate).
Scott Hagwood graduated with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and struggled with memory problems throughout his academic years. Test anxiety and inefficient study habits left Scott feeling inadequate about his own mental capabilities until he lost his tenuous hold on memory as a result of thyroid cancer. To combat the effects of the treatment, Scott learned how our memories work and transformed himself into America’s first and only Grand Master of Memory.
In order to achieve this rare title, Scott remembered:
1. 9 decks of playing cards in less than an hour
2. Over 800 numbers in perfect sequence in an hour
3. A shuffled deck of playing cards in less than 3 minutes.
Scotts accomplishments in the field of memory include:
Four Time National Memory Champion (2001-2004)
Guinness Record Breaking Feat (2003)
Author Memory Power: You Can Develop a Great Memory
Americas Grandmaster Shows You How
